About

It finds every checkable fact in your nonfiction manuscript, Claude opens a real source for each one and saves the proof, and it prints your sources page in APA, MLA or Chicago style.

What it does

  • Finds every sentence with a number, a year, a study, a named person or organization, a quote, or a sweeping word like "always".
  • Nothing passes unless the proof is saved: a quote that isn't on the saved page, or a figure that changed between chapters, is refused and named.
  • Your own facts stay yours: sentences that restate your author brief are marked as yours and never "corrected".

Known limitations

  • It can't judge whether a source is trustworthy. It proves the quote is on the page that was saved, not that the page is right.
  • It can't spot a false sentence with no number, year, name or quote in it. Read your book for those yourself.
  • It is for nonfiction, not fiction.

Install and use

After the install, ask Claude in plain words:

"Fact-check my manuscript, book.md, and give me a sources page in APA."
  1. Unzip the download.
  2. Windows: right-click the folder, choose Open in Terminal, run .\install.ps1. Mac: run sh install.sh in Terminal.
  3. The setup check says PASS. Copy the folder into Claude Code's skills folder.
